Add These Festive Cocktails to Your Holiday Menu

If you’re ready to raise a glass to the holiday season, you’re in luck. We’ve found several festive libations that will add extra joy to your celebration. From a winter margarita to classic eggnog, these drinks will not disappoint your guests.

A Winter Margarita

Tequila drinks may typically be associated with days at the beach, however, this winter rendition from Delish will warm you up this holiday season. To get started, grab a can of unsweetened coconut milk, silver tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and ice. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and churn until it’s smooth. Garnish glasses with a rim of coconut flakes and then add a lime wedge. Cheers!

Wassail

This traditional English drink features hot mulled cider. It boasts a spiced goodness that will warm you up and have your guests asking for seconds. First, you’re going to take the core out of six apples and then spoon sugar into each of them. Then, bake the apples with a cup of water for at least an hour at 350 degrees. While cooking, incorporate hard cider, pale ale, and Madeira into a large pot and bring to a simmer. Then, add spices and citrus zest. Put heat to low and then let it all steep for about an hour. To finish, add the baked apples and all of their juices. For the complete recipe, click here.

Classic Eggnog

Add another classic beverage to your menu by whipping up a batch of eggnog courtesy of Alton Brown. To get started beat four egg yolks with a 1/3 cup of sugar. Once the sugar dissolves, incorporate bourbon, rum, milk, cream, and nutmeg. Then, remove from the mixture and set aside. As a final step, whip the remaining egg whites with a tablespoon of sugar until they form soft peaks. Then, fold the egg whites into the mixture and serve.
