Lincoln Property Company ranked third on Dallas Business Journal’s Best Places to Work

Lincoln Property Company was named as a Best Places to Work in North Texas finalist by The Dallas Business Journal at their annual awards ceremony last week. Ranked the third Best Place to Work in the large company category, Lincoln was recognized for its competitive employee benefits and its emphasis on individual development.

Chief Accounting Officer, Andy Atalis, has been with the company for 18 years. He says that employees tend to stay with Lincoln because of the positive environment where people work hard, enjoy what they do and enjoy the people they work alongside.

“Lincoln appreciates its employees not just for what they do, but for the individual person that they are,” says Atalis. “From the top down, everyone values each individual.”

Among the perks and benefits offered to Lincoln employees are paid parental leave, flexible hours to balance work and home life, employee referral bonuses and birthdays off as a paid holiday.

Lincoln also creates out-of-office events to help encourage team building and to raise money for Lincoln Charities. Employees participate in softball games, golf tournaments, car washes and barbecues. These events are open to vendors, and all the money raised goes to help Lincoln employees in times of great financial need such as an illness or death in the family.

Jacquie Bryant has been with Lincoln for 30 years and currently serves as an Executive Assistant. She says the people she works with are fun, upbeat, loyal and dedicated. She appreciates the flexibility and has great relationships with all of her co-workers.

“My supervisors are always willing to make it work for me,” says Bryant. “When I get to take a trip, they are genuinely excited for me. That is not common in many offices.”

The Dallas Business Journal has been conducting employee engagement audits of North Texas businesses for more than twelve years. Their annual rankings are intended to highlight companies that place an emphasis on supporting innovation and ideas, embracing tolerance and flexibility and establishing competitive employee compensation plans. The award also places importance on the overall quality of support, communication and skill development at individual organizations.

Atalis says he is proud that his employees are happy and feels honored by this award.

“You’re going to spend a third of your life in this place,” says Atalis. “I want you to love working here, and I do everything I can to foster that environment.”
