The city of Knightdale, North Carolina just unveiled its first art gallery with a grand opening ceremony on June 5. Housed at Greystone at Widewaters, a Lincoln Property Company managed apartment community, the gallery features work by talent from across the country but focuses on giving exposure to local artists.

The celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony for The Gallery at Greystone was attended by members of the town’s Chamber of Commerce as well as community residents.

Featured artists in attendance included Ed Baxter, N.G. Canty, Arlene Gray, Claudia Jackson, Lyn Riggs, Janet Sever, Brian Stancil, Linda Starr, John Stone and Carolyn Varcoe.

Community Resident Manager, Jennifer Greenacre, is excited for this new addition to the town and to the apartment community of Greystone at Widewaters.

“It is a space meant to give local artists a unique venue to display their work and promote the local culture in a small town,” Greenacre says.

Artists will display their work on a rotating six-week schedule. Greenacre says the gallery already has bookings through June of next year.
